A startled spot prawn!

A small fish disrupts a feeding spot prawn, Pandalus platyceros. The startled spot prawn displays an escape response common to many species of decapods: the tail-flip. They propel themselves into the water column by flexing their abdomen in an attempt to avoid the danger below. The maneuver is nearly too fast to see in this video.
