Lifting the node

Lifting the node. Note the floats for the final portion of the cable laying process. Once the pre-deployment checks were completed, the WAVE VENTURE departed Victoria for Saanich Inlet. After a final inspection of the location for the Node deployment, the WAVE VENTURE commenced the cable installation. In the early hours of 6 Feb, the Node was carefully lowered to the bottom and the WAVE VENTURE began moving towards the shore landing site.
