Our ADCP, ZAP and Nortek Vector data plots have not updated because there is a problem with the DMAS (Data Management and Archiving System) File Archiving process. They are working on it and hopefully, all our plots will be up to date tomorrow. The VENUS and DMAS teams will be performing some major upgrades to our background services used for data delivery starting in the morning on Tuesday March 20. Data archiving will be unaffected and no data will be lost. There will be periods throughout the day where the Download Data page will be unavailable, some of the plots in our Data Plots pages will not be updating as expected and there will be lags in our hydrophone data. Thank you in advance for your patience! Update: Wednesday March 21 2012 The Download Data page has been updated to validate dates before the request for data is sent. This will determine that the data request is error free before sending it. The page uses scripts that may be cached in your web browser, so users may need to clear their browser cache to make sure the page is using the latest scripts. VENUS hydrophones are currently functioning, but recent data are not being distributed. An update will be posted when recent data are accessible again. Archived data are still available for downloading from our Multimedia Archive. Update: VENUS hydrophone data are now available. The semi-annual VENUS maintenance cruise was complete on Monday February 27 and the VENUS Data and Web teams have been working hard to get all our data services back online. The following data services are available again: The Latest CODAR Radials in Strait of Georgia are still updating. All our Archived data are available from Download Data. We are working with the DMAS team to archive data from the XWING webcam at 300m and our AXIS webcam at 110m at the Delta Dynamics site in Strait of Georgia. We hope to make these data available for downloading soon. DMAS continues to have issues with their archiving processes. Yesterday’s files were not archived so some of the plots in our Data Plots section didn’t update because the files are not available. No data have been lost and the DMAS Systems team is working hard to resolve the problem. Thank you for your patience. Between February 21 – 27 the VENUS Team will be at sea conducting maintenance on the Saanich Inlet and Strait of Georgia Arrays. Sites on both arrays will be serviced, so data streams will be interrupted and/ unavailable during this time. Archived data will still be available from the Download Data page. Our data services will slowly come back online as new data streams are available. We hope to have all our services fully functional again by the end of next week. Thank you for your patience. DMAS is still having some issues getting processes running again after their code release last Thursday. Our hydrophone files are lagging behind so the data displayed in our hydrophone players for SOG East and SOG Central are significantly behind. We hope to have the issue resolved soon. Please be aware that DMAS was doing a release on February 9, 2012. Some VENUS items such as the Latest Data Service and Download Data are not updating as expected.
