The VENUS User Guide is a living document that changes as the system evolves. It informs users about access to the system both virtually and physically. The document also includes policy information and the Facility’s mechanisms of conflict resolution. The latest version is 1.9.

Primary changes are:

• incorporation of new information in the document, including: compatibility with Neptune Canada and MARS, P.I. insurance requirements
• revise links, more links to new website pages
• less static info, more links to current information on the website

The University of Victoria and Global Marine Systems Ltd is holding a public and media event aboard the cable ship WAVE VENTURE to present VENUS and many of the system elements. This was the invitation to attend.

The VENUS/NEPTUNE DMAS Report compiled by Barrodale Computing Services Ltd. provides a detailed summary of the anticipated instrument, data stream, and archival needs for both VENUS and NEPTUNE in the design of the Data Management and Archiving System (DMAS).
