Deploying Oregon State University BOXER

VENUS just (May 7-14) concluded another successful maintenance cruise, servicing and re-deploying the East Node and six platforms in Saanich Inlet and the Strait of Georgia. In this picture, ROPOS takes down the Oregon State University BOXER (Benthic Oxygen Exchange Rates) sampler, with a Nortek Vector and Unisense Oxygen probe. The BOXER measures the transfer of oxygen towards the sediment interface by direct measurement of the flux.
