The Birth of Venus
On Feb 28, 2001 a group of researchers got together at the Dominion Astrophysical Observatory to discuss the idea of Victoria Experimental Network UnderSea (this was the spelling in 2001).
Some of the current VENUS team members and users were present at the meeting and since then have been playing a key role in what VENUS has become as of Feb 28 2011 … a mere 10 years later.
