VENUS Starts Upgrading its Core Infrastructure

VENUS has started upgrading its core infrastructure beginning with the Strait of Georgia Central Node. On Aug 29th, Georgia Transporter, equipped with ROV Oceanic Explorer, successfully recovered the Node. For the next several months it will undergo major upgrade at the OceanWorks Int’l in Vancouver. Redeployment of the upgraded node is scheduled for mid December 2010.
