We’ve been experiencing some interference between hydrophones 1 and 2 at Strait of Georgia East Node; there is a bug in the processing hardware that manifests itself as crosstalk in hydrophone 1 when the automatic gain control is on for hydrophone 2. We could turn off the gain control, but then we effectively lose 20 dB of dynamic range.
If you see a similar plot, this is not a failure of the HighTech hydrophone, but interference from hydrophone 2 when the automatic gain control is on.
