The Zooplankton Acoustic Profilers (ZAP) are 200 kHz inverted echo-sounders. They ping every 2 seconds and record the vertical and temporal variations in zooplankton and fish concentrations in the water column. Shown here is a strip-chart version of the data from the Strait of Georgia East VIP platform at 170m water depth. This display is updated daily. A similar strip-chart is available for the Saanich Inlet ZAP data. Individual hourly plots are also available.
