Undersea equipment opens a new world (Vancouver Sun)

Beginning this autumn, scientists who study the local oceans will have a window on the undersea world like they’ve never had before.
That’s because this September and October, equipment will be placed on the sea floor at the mouth of the Fraser River and further out into Georgia Strait that will continuously record everything from the level of oxygen to the salinity to the turbidity to the temperature, and then provide the data it gathers online.
