The Canada Foundation for Innovation will provide funding of $8.7 million for five new UVic science and engineering initiatives, federal Minister of Industry Allan Rock announced today in Vancouver. The funding will help to support a range of studies — from an underwater network to monitor ocean activity near Victoria to new approaches for studying environmental impacts on drinking water.
